Rights of Children with Special Needs

A child with special needs due to illness, injury or hereditary disorders needs additional medical, pedagogical and social assistance. A child with special needs has the right to active life, the right to develop and acquire education in accordance with their physical and mental abilities and wishes, as well as the right to participate in public life – same as any other child. The State and the local governments help children with special needs to integrate into society and provide them with education, health care and social services.

Example: Parents wish to register their child at the school nearest to the child’s place of residence, but the management of the school responds — our teachers do not work with special children.
