Rights of Foreigners
The rights of foreigners apply to foreigners with a permanent residence permit in Latvia, stateless persons who have been granted the status of a stateless person in Latvia, refugees or persons who have been granted alternative status, asylum seekers. It is important for foreigners to have access to information on their right to reside in the country, work, study, receive health services and not be discriminated against.
Example: I have come to Latvia to study. I want to work part-time outside my studies. Is it allowed?
